Catherine’s Health Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center that provides access to high quality, affordable and compassionate health care for the West Michigan community. Over 27 years ago, they began as a volunteer-run clinic in the Creston neighborhood of Grand Rapids and then expanded to provide medical, dental, and behavioral health care at four locations around the Grand Rapids area.

The Complexity of a Hassle-Free Sitemap
As it often occurs during the configuration planning of a website in the healthcare industry, the arrangement of the sitemap didn’t come without a set of challenges. Our team had to work with a plethora of pages that needed to be organized in an efficient and hassle-free fashion that would allow the user to access the most important information in a short navigation timespan. The Catherine Health Center’s team had a solid idea of which content needed to be highlighted on their new website. This greatly eased our team’s efforts to find the most efficient solution.
An additional point of strength of the website’s user experience is its multiple-languages translation’s feature.
The Design
The outline of the website is filled with features that not only support its functionality, but also render its aesthetic approach captivating and appealing. The shades of blue wisely selected and popular among medical websites for their psychologically reassuring qualities, create a series of colorful interplays between content and images. The scrolling time on each page is facilitated and optimized by horizontal-scrolling containers, slideshows, and tabbed content. The fonts used for titles and body of text are large and bold so that all the information is accessible and visible by all age groups.
